Should You Join A Fraternity During College

With all the applications and orientations out of the way, the only thing that you need to concentrate on is your new sense of freedom. Of course this comes at a price. You won’t be able to be as irresponsible as you were at home since if you run out of money here, you won’t be able to get any more. Studies aside, you might want to get your hands in on a few other things like joining a fraternity. But with all the new adjusting you are going to be doing during your first semester, you should probably leave it on the back burner until the second half of the year.

Joining a frat is a big decision. It’s not all parties and drinking with a fraternity. It can be a lot of fun but the most important thing about it is that you will have a brotherhood to fall back on for hopefully the rest of your life. Your brothers will be able to help you find jobs and get you connections to important people. So joining something like Alpha Phi will not only be a good time if you can handle it, it will be a leg up after you graduate.
