It not only seriously effect your interviewers’ impression on you as a person in general. Therefore, I especially developed a formal letter for your reference:

I refer to your advertisement in todays “South China Morning Post” for an accounting clerk, I beg to offer my service for I think myself qualified for your requirments.

It is extremely important that you state your purpose and which position you are applying at the beginning and it’s not a bad idea to show some sort of confidence firsthand.
